Engineering solutions for any type of concrete joints.
Big or small, more or less demanding, construction projects cannot do without our certified cork joints, as they play a decisive role in the performance and durability of any type of construction.

These CORKJOINT materials consist of highly selected pure cork granules, securely bounded together by a synthetic resin, of an insoluble nature, and moulded under heat and pressure.

We offer two types of cork joints.

Corkjoint Type 2 is strong, light in weight, flexible and acid resistant. It allows other materials to change volume, preventing cracks in concrete for example. It can be compressed for short or long periods without losing any of its properties.

MAIN USES:
Essentially recommended wherever joints in concrete, brick or block work, require sealing and filling. Corkjoint Type 2 is a natural incorruptible and highly resilient product, suitable for filling expansion joints wherever expansion, recovery and contraction of joints are very intense. It does not extrude even when compressed to 50% of its original thickness and having an high recovery factor, it regains up to 96% when joint contraction takes place, therefore ensuring joint perfect seal at all the times.

Interior Joints:
Ideal for filling expansion joints across concrete floors and roofs, for filling expansion joints in internal brickwork and block work walls. Other applications like, aerodromes; power stations; factories; warehouses; pavements; building, etc.

Roads, Bridges and Traffic Surfaces:
Ideal for filling expansion joints in roads and bridge decks subject to heavy traffic.

External Walling and Cladding:
Recommended for filling structural expansion and separation of joints in brick, block and concrete constructions.

CorkJoint Type 3

Self-expanding corkjoint Type 3 cork fillers are produced with clean granulated cork particles securely bound together with a synthetic resin. The product expands upon exposure to moisture and weather to develop an interference pressure seal within the concrete joint. It is particularly used for sealing the expansion joints in water structures, irrigation canals, culverts, dams, reservoirs, sea walls, docks sewage works, swimming pools, water treatment and storage structures, besided others.

Self-expanding corkjoint type 3 can be compressed down to 50% of its original thickness and recovers up to minimum of 90% after removal of the load. Besides, when subjected to wet conditions at high temperatures, it is capable to accompany the joint accordingly to the release of the load and the wideness of the joint.

MAIN USES:

Water Retaining Structures:

Suitable for filling expansion joints in irrigation canals, culverts, dams, reservoirs, sea walls, sewage works, water treatment, swimming pools, storage structures, subways and basements.
Corkjoint is unaffected by temperature variations and prepared to support different atmospheric conditions without physical alterations. It is unaffected by rodents, fungi and bacteria. It is very easy to install.
