Unfinished Cork Tiles
Most cork tiles are sold unfinished, which means they require a protective finish to be applied across the surface after installation.
We offer two types of cork floor finishes: Lacquer and Hardwax Oils.
Lacquer Finish is ideal for a low-maintenance lifestyle. It creates a durable, scratch-resistant, and waterproof layer over the cork floor. For commercial areas, we recommend using a high-quality commercial lacquer for added protection.
Oil Finish preserves the natural, soft texture of cork tiles. However, like all oiled floors, it requires regular maintenance and care. Be sure to clean cork floors with the appropriate products designed for this purpose.
One benefit of unfinished cork tiles is that any small gaps between the tiles, caused by natural dimensional variations, can be filled with cork filler or other suitable materials before applying a finishing coat.
